Preliminary design plans unveiled for Minot airport

MINOT, N.D. – Architects for a new passenger terminal at the Minot International Airport say the facility will be three times the size of the current building.

City officials say the expansion is needed due to increased travel activity in the region due primarily to the oil boom. The airport that typically had about 70,000 passengers per year is expected to go over 220,000 passengers this year.
