Buffalo River State Park open during deer hunt

GLYNDON, Minn. – A special resource management deer hunt will take place on today at Buffalo River State Park near here.

The park will remain open, but visitors are advised to wear blaze orange if they visit while the hunt is in progress.

Hunts will take place at several other Minnesota state parks and recreation areas this fall and access to the parks will vary.

Details on which areas of each park will be affected by the special deer hunts are included in the “Visitor Alert!” boxes on the individual park Web pages at www.mndnr.gov/parksandtrails or by calling the DNR Information Center at (888) 646-6367.
