25-year-old Fargo man arrested in Moorhead assault

MOORHEAD - A Fargo man was arrested early this morning by Fargo police after he allegedly assaulted three people at a Moorhead residence.

Moorhead police responded at about 11:36 p.m. Tuesday to the report of an assault at 527 7th St. S. By the time officers arrived at the home, the suspect had fled the area in a black pickup, according to a news release.

An investigation showed that a known male acquaintance forced his way into the home, police say. While at the residence, the man assaulted three unrelated adults, police say, and displayed a knife during the attack.

An unoccupied parked vehicle was struck and damaged as the suspect left the area in his vehicle, the release stated. Two of the victims were taken to the Sanford Health emergency room for treatment of injuries that weren't life threatening.

Clinton Dean Corry, 25, was arrested at about 3 a.m. by Fargo police. He is being held at the Cass County Jail on charges of felony domestic strangulation,felony second-degree assault and violation of an order for protection, among other charges.
