Minot airport and parking operator to part waysMINOT, N.D. — Minot International Airport and its long-time parking operator have decided to part ways at the end of the year.
ARM Parking, an operation of Dakota Territory Air Museum and the Railroad Museum of Minot, declined to accept the terms of a five-year management contract put up for bids recently.
Rich Larcombe, a board member of ARM Parking, tells the Minot Daily News that the organization could not comply with the proposed contract terms.
ARM Parking currently runs the airport's parking and gives half the revenue to the city of Minot. Larcombe says under the new management contract, the city would assume ownership of the parking operation and pay a company a management fee to operate it.
The loss of the contract will cost each museum about $50,000 a year.
