Third-period surge lifts Gophers past North Dakota

GRAND FORKS – The University of Minnesota scored four third-period goals as the Gophers defeated North Dakota 5-1 in women’s Western Collegiate Hockey Association play of Saturday.

Milica McMillen and Hannah Brandt each recorded a goal and an assist for the Gophers (9-0-0).

Tori Williams scored the lone goal for North Dakota (4-3-0).
