Hires and Promotions (October 27, 2012)Flint Communications makes three new hires
Flint Communications, Fargo, has hired Jim Bolluyt as an art director and senior designer, Sarah Clark as a website and graphic designer and Kaitlyn O’Malley as a graphic designer.
Bolluyt previously worked as a graphic designer for several printing companies in the area, including Shortprinter.com, and most recently operated his own freelance business. He earned a degree from Alexandria (Minn.) Technical College.
Clark earned a bachelor’s degree at Minnesota State University Moorhead and worked at a design firm in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
O’Malley is attending MSUM, where she is pursuing a bachelor of fine arts degree.
NetWork Center hires help desk technician
Matt Andvik has joined NetWork Center Inc., Fargo, as a help desk technician.
He is in his last semester at Minnesota State Community and Technical College where he is studying network technology administration. Andvik previously worked in computer sales and service and as a computer bench technician.
Halverson, Carlson join Heartland Trust in Fargo
Heartland Trust Co., Fargo, has hired Brian Halverson to work in the retirement services area and Mary Carlson as an administrative associate.
Halverson was previously regional vice president for Voco Dental, an international dental supply and equipment manufacturer in Germany. Halverson graduated from Concordia College with a degree in finance. He and his family recently moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area from Minneapolis.
Carlson worked for Wells Fargo Bank for 30 years in a variety of positions, most recently in administration.
Village hires Marsh as family-based therapist
Kallie Marsh has joined The Village Family Service Center as a licensed family-based therapist in the Fargo office.
Marsh earned bachelor and master degrees at North Dakota State University and completed a counseling internship at Catholic Charities.
Two hired at John Deere Electronic Solutions
John Deere Electronic Solutions, Fargo, has hired Adam Jansen as a senior software design engineer and Jeff Schmaltz as a quality engineer.
Jansen has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Schmaltz received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and management from North Dakota State University.
Eventide names nurse manager in Moorhead
Ryan Wheeler has been hired as first-floor nurse manager at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
Wheeler received an associate’s degree in practical nursing and a registered nurse degree from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead.
He was previously employed by Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo, and was also an instructor at MSCTC, Moorhead.
Sundog hires two in marketing, advertising
Sundog of Fargo has hired Tiffanie McLean as a media strategist and Heather Duke as an experience architect.
McLean was previously an accounting support analyst for Microsoft through Archway and a media buyer for Absolute Marketing, Moorhead. She studied illustration at Pacific Northwest College and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Phoenix.
Duke has 20 years of experience in marketing and advertising at various companies in the Minneapolis area. She was previously an independent consultant specializing in user experience design, information architecture and user research.
Dawson Insurance promotes Brown
Darthy Brown has been promoted to a personal lines producer for Dawson Insurance, Fargo.
Brown, a graduate of North Dakota State University, began her insurance career in 2008 as a customer service representative for an agency in Magee, Miss.
She joined Dawson in 2009 as a commercial lines rater and in 2010 was promoted to commercial lines account manager.
Rude, Wallace join Western State Bank
Western State Bank, West Fargo, has hired Riley Rude as a business banking officer and Mark Wallace as a credit analyst.
Rude was previously a commissioned examiner for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Originally from Fargo, Rude earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Wallace was previously a credit analyst at Choice Financial, Fargo. A native of Northwood, N.D., he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Dakota State University.
702 Communications adds Flieth in sales
702 Communications, Moorhead, has added Jason Flieth to its sales team.
Flieth has a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Mary. He previously worked in sales for eight years at Cable One, Fargo.
Ulteig hires three employees in Fargo
Ulteig, Fargo, has hired Janis Bork as a senior administrative assistant, Kathy Finke as an accounts payable associate and Laura Hicks as an executive assistant.
Bork earned a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She was previously employed as an officer manager at the Center for Biopharmaceutical Research and Production at North Dakota State University.
Finke graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Wadena, with a degree in accounting. She was previously employed as a billing specialist at Nodak Mutual Insurance.
Hicks previously worked as a marketing coordinator at Impact Foundation.
Stacey Archibald joins Eyesite Family Eyecare
Stacey Archibald has joined Eyesite Family Eyecare in the Costco store at 750 23rd Ave. W., West Fargo.
Archibald graduated from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and has more than 10 years of eye care experience.
She has a special interest in pediatric eye exams, and early diagnosis and management of glaucoma and dry eye disease.
Wold, Zuther join Appareo Systems
Appareo Systems in Fargo has hired John Wold as a shipping and receiving clerk and Aaron Zuther as a test technician.
Wold previously worked as a product distribution representative with Digi-Key Corp., Thief River Falls, Minn., and Zuther was previously a service technician at Hobart Service, Fargo.
Boreen joins RLE Group as project manager
The RLE Group, Fargo, has added Matthew Boreen to its staff as a project manager.
Boreen has seven years of experience in architecture. He is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a master’s degree in architecture.
The Village Family Service Center hires six
The Village Family Service Center has hired Kristi Burbank as a therapist in the intensive in-home family-based program in the Jamestown, N.D., area., Renee Sandvik as an addiction counselor for First Step Recovery, Amy Lahren as office manager in Moorhead, Elisabeth Richard as a teacher at Nokomis Child Care, Fargo, and Aimee Beckett and Shannon Johnson as case aides in the Employee Assistance Program.
Burbank has a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Mary and is a licensed associate professional counselor in North Dakota. Her past work experience includes working with Child Protective Services as a family service specialist/intake specialist for the North Dakota Department of Social Services.
Sandvik was previously employed at The Village from 2010-2011. She is an adjunct professor with the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and Minnesota State University, Moorhead. She received bachelor and master degrees from UND and she is a licensed addiction counselor.
Lahren graduated from Rasmussen College with associate and bachelor degrees in business management. She was previously the operations manager at Paces Lodging.
Richard is certified in the Nurtured Heart Approach and has a special interest in working with children with special needs.
Johnson is a graduate of North Dakota State University and Beckett graduated from UND.
