Weekend watch: Writer Roland Merullo at MSUMMonday
This year’s Tom McGrath Visiting Writers Series at Minnesota State University Moorhead gets going with Roland Merullo on Monday night. The Massachusetts writer has been celebrated for his sense of place in the fictional “Revere Beach” trilogy as well as his sense of spirituality and humor in “Golfing with God”. He combined all three in “Breakfast with Buddha,” which detailed a road trip from the East Coast to a family farm outside Bismarck. The follow-up, “Lunch with Buddha,” about a trip from Washington state to North Dakota, hits shelves Nov. 13.
Merullo talks about and reads from his work at 5 p.m. Monday at Fox Recital Hall, Roland Dille Center for the Arts, MSUM. (218) 477-2939.
