Repairs finished at east-end Devils Lake outlet

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. — North Dakota's state engineer says repairs have been completed at the east-end floodwater diversion outlet on Devils Lake.

Todd Sando tells KZZY radio that officials on Monday were getting outlet operations restarted. He says officials are confident they can ramp up to the outlet's maximum flow soon.

The east-end outlet came online earlier this summer, to complement a west-end outlet. A pipeline leak earlier this month led to ground erosion and pipe settling at the east-end structure. Sando says the repairs were covered under warranty.
