Letter: Berg health care position soundI am a physician with more than 19 years in practice, the past 16 years in Fargo. I have had the opportunity to meet Congressman Rick Berg on several occasions, and to discuss the state of health care in North Dakota and our nation with him and also with his wife, a family practice physician whom I have worked with in the past caring for obstetrical patients.
Berg supports and endorses meaningful health care reform but not the disastrous Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare.
Many hospitals in North Dakota cannot survive with large reductions in reimbursement. The eventual result, planned from the inception of this act, is a conversion to a single-payer, government-run health care system.
Berg is a supporter of our health care system in America. He will work to repeal Obamacare and replace it with meaningful health care reform, targeted at specific problem areas, not a government-run takeover.
