Rachel Stotts, Krisann Schneeberger, Amanda Vanden Hoek and Lisa Mitteness, therapists with Pediatric Therapy Partners, Fargo, recently attended the Social Thinking Providers Conference in Minneapolis.
The focus of the conference was strategies for building social communication and related abilities.
FirstLink, staff receive AIRS certification
FirstLink in Fargo has been accredited through the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems, an international professional association for information and referral providers.
Three FirstLink staff members have also received individual certifications with AIRS: Cheryl Melbye, suicide support program coordinator, and Ashley Ladbury, training and education coordinator, certified as information and referral specialists; and Beth Cramer, database and resource specialist, certified as a resource specialist.
Krystosek earns insurance designation
Melissa Krystosek, a commercial lines account manager in the select business department at Dawson Insurance, Fargo, has earned the Certified Insurance Counselor designation after completing an insurance education program sponsored by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.
Krystosek began her career in the insurance industry in 2002 as a personal lines customer service representative in Brainerd and Little Falls, Minn. She joined Dawson in 2007.
Hospice employees complete certification
Three Hospice of the Red River Valley employees have completed National Hospice Certification exams. They are Shelley Windels, a certified nursing assistant, Detroit Lakes, Minn., palliative nursing assistant certification; and registered nurses Kelly Haneca, Moorhead, and Rebecca Baird, Fargo, hospice and palliative nurse certification.
Gierke earns HR professional credential
Brenda Gierke, human resources manager/assistant equal employment opportunity officer at Northern Improvement Co., Fargo, has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources credential.
The credential signifies that Gierke possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management necessary to pass an examination demonstrating a mastery of the field.
She is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead.
