Letter: A bright light in dark campaignI have been discouraged by the new norm of campaigning in which the candidates focus on pointing out the inadequacies of their competitors rather than on what they can offer me as a candidate. It has really become quite nasty. I truly believe this will contribute to poor voter turnout and has turned off young voters.
It was refreshing when I opened The Forum on Saturday, Oct. 6, to find a wonderful ad in which a candidate promotes himself by introducing himself to me and telling me what he will do for me. Before Saturday, I did not know George Sinner. After seeing his insert and seeing the type of politician he is, he won my vote and restored my faith in good politics, even if only a little.
