Jack Chivers Realty, Detroit Lakes, Minn., has added Paula Okeson to its staff as a real estate agent.
Okeson grew up in Detroit Lakes and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in finance.
Jessie Topp joins farm network broadcast team
The Red River Farm Network has added Jessie Topp to its farm broadcast team.
Topp is a native of Grace City, N.D., and a graduate of North Dakota State University.
She interned with RRFN in 2010 and 2011, is a past state Future Farmers of America officer and served as queen of NDSU’s Little I.
Appareo Systems hires product manager
Joe Heilman has joined Appareo Systems, Fargo, as agriculture original equipment manufacturing product manager.
Heilman graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He previously was an account manager with Pedigree Technologies, Fargo.
Eventide hires Walters, promotes Peterson
Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, has hired Erin Walters as the nutrition and culinary manager, and Melissa Peterson has been named director of nursing.
Walters is a registered dietitian and has a bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition from North Dakota State University. She was previously employed by Ramsey County WIC, St. Paul, Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, and Golden Living Center, Roseville, Minn., and Moorhead. She also serves in the North Dakota Army National Guard.
Peterson graduated from Presentation College, Aberdeen, S.D., with an associate science degree in nursing. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a master’s degree in nursing administration from the University of Mary, Fargo. She has been with Eventide since 2011 and was previously employed by Sanford Health and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, both in Fargo.
Flaskerud promoted to quality support nurse
Leah Flaskerud has been named quality support nurse at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo.
This is a new role at Bethany that merged nursing administrative tasks and various nursing duties related to quality and education.
Flaskerud has been with Bethany since 2009.
FMCVB hires convention sales manager
Derek Johnson has joined the Fargo-Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau as convention sales manager for the North Dakota and Chicago markets.
He is enrolled at the Fargo Jet Center and at Utah Valley University, where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in aviation.
NDSU hires Hanson as disability specialist
North Dakota State University Disability Services has hired Anita Hanson as a disability specialist.
Hanson earned a bachelor’s degree from NDSU and a master’s degree in educational psychology at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
She previously worked for more than 16 years at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, Cloquet, Minn., where she was a counselor, disability services coordinator and interim dean of student services.
Murphy joins Ulteig finance department
Ulteig has hired Brian Murphy as an accounts payable associate in the finance and accounting department in Fargo.
Murphy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He also earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Minnesota School of Business, Moorhead.
He was previously employed as a student account representative at the Minnesota School of Business.
Two promoted at Western State Bank
Angie Scoville has been promoted to personal banking/real estate officer at Western State Bank, Fargo, and Ben Sullivan has been promoted to vice president/service and mortgage manager at Western State Bank, West Fargo.
Scoville has been with Western since 2003 and served in previous positions including business banking assistant, cash management officer and personal banking officer. Originally from West Fargo, she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Sullivan has been with Western since 2008 and served most recently as vice president/retail banking manager. He graduated from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn., with degrees in economics, management and history. Before joining Western, he was employed by Wells Fargo for six years in various capacities including teller, banker and service manager.
Re/Max Realty 1 hires office manager
Vonda Anderson has been hired as the office manager at Re/Max Realty 1, Fargo.
Anderson attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College and Rasmussen College, where she studied human resources and human services. She has more than 20 years of experience in customer service and management.
Evavold hired as TMI Hospitality recruiter
Fargo-based TMI Hospitality has hired Kelsey Evavold as corporate recruiter.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Concordia College and previously worked as a recruiter for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and as a health care corporate territory manager at APAC Customer Services.

Ankers law firm hires mediator, consultant
Roxie Howard has joined the Alisha Ankers law firm in Fargo as a mediator in Minnesota and North Dakota, a court-appointed parenting investigator in North Dakota, a court-appointed parenting time consultant in Minnesota, a parenting coach and a legal assistant.
Howard was previously an independent family law parenting professional and mediator.

Flint Group adds 4 employees in Fargo
The Flint Group in Fargo has hired Carli Collins, Adam Fuller and Chris Lubarski as account coordinators, and Lacey Nygaard as public relations coordinator.
Collins, a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead, earned a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing.
Lubarski graduated from MSUM with a degree in mass communications with an emphasis in integrated advertising and public relations, and a minor in leadership studies.
Fuller has past experience in event programming and promotion as a student community organizer. A graduate of North Dakota State University, he earned a degree in marketing.
Nygard graduated from MSUM with a degree in mass communications with an emphasis in integrated advertising and public relations, and a minor in leadership studies.
DSG names electrical segment manager
Dakota Supply Group, Fargo, has named John Gearman as the electrical segment manager. He will also continue to serve as DSG’s automation segment manager.
He has worked for the company since 1985 in various departments, including control panel shop and city desk. Gearman also worked in outside sales and served as branch manager in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Kindred Hospital appoints Kaufman, Hoff
Kindred Hospital, a long-term acute care hospital on the second floor of Sanford South University, Fargo, has appointed Deborah Kaufman as chief clinical officer and Mark Hoff as director of sales and marketing.
Kaufman received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and has more than 25 years of management experience in acute and critical care, rehabilitation, sub-acute and long-term care.
Hoff earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at MedCenter One College of Nursing and has more than 10 years of medical sales experience.

Border States Electric, Fargo, has hired Michael Robinson as enterprise risk manager and Lisa Monson as an executive assistant.
Robinson has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services, consulting, consumer products and technology industries. He previously worked at KPMG, Kingston, Jamaica; Bank of America, Louisville, Ky.; Fidelity, St. Petersburg, Fla., and most recently was a senior credit risk consultant at American Financial, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Monson has many years of experience in supporting executives and managing projects. She previously worked at Swanson Heath Products, Fargo, and she was an executive assistant for MidAmerica Holdings, Fargo.
Klath joins Goose River Bank as loan officer
Brenda Klath has joined Goose River Bank in Hillsboro, N.D., as a loan officer.
Klath earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in child development and family science from North Dakota State University, Fargo. She attended the National Compliance School, Norman, Okla., and graduated from the North Dakota Banker’s School.
She has 10 years of financial service experience, including marketing, compliance and lending.
