11 horses seized from southeastern ND farmerLISBON, N.D. — Authorities have seized eleven horses from a southeastern North Dakota farmer accused of not taking care of them.
The Ransom County Sheriff's Office says the horses are malnourished and are now being cared for by volunteers in the Bismarck area. Prosecutors are considering charges against owner Robert Dick.
The Lisbon farmer tells WDAY-TV that some of his horses were skinny because of the hot summer but that allegations that his animals are unhealthy are "total garbage." He says he wants people to mind their own business.
Dick was allowed to keep four horses.
