1 dead, 2 arrested in death in Badger, Minn.BADGER, Minn. - One person is dead and two people have been taken into custody following a suspicious death Saturday in Badger.
Roseau County Sheriff Steve Gust said the body of an unidentified male was discovered when police authorities responded to a 911 call just before 11 a.m. Saturday at an apartment building at 106 University Ave., in Badger.
The victim’s body was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office in St. Paul for an autopsy and formal identification. The autopsy likely will be performed Monday.
Two unidentified suspects were taken to Roseau County Jail in Roseau, Minn., and are expected be charged early this week, according to the sheriff.
The investigation is continuing, but investigators said today they do not believe there is a continued threat to public safety.
No additional information was immediately available.
Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting the sheriff’s department in the investigation.
Badger is about 110 miles northeast of Grand Forks.
