TRADE TALK: New Godfather’s Pizza to open soon
It will move into the Moorhead Center Mall where the former Giovanni’s Pizza was located. Construction has begun on the east side of the mall, and Fargo store employees say the new shop is scheduled to open Nov. 1.
A new Facebook page was set up at www.facebook.com/MoorheadGodfathersPizza. Grand opening deals are expected to be posted soon.
Posts indicate the new location will offer a “party room” for rent.
The current Fargo location at 4340 13th Ave. S. in the TJ Maxx Plaza will remain open.
New credit union opens
Capital Credit Union has opened its new branch office in the Time Square Mall on 13th Avenue South in Fargo. The new full service branch is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The drive-up is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Capital Credit Union recently merged with Noridian Employees Credit Union and is celebrating its 76th year in business.
Capital Credit Union’s headquarters is in Bismarck, with branches in Mandan, Hazen and Beulah, all N.D.
F-M called ‘pretty’
Fargo-Moorhead was named in the top 10 “Prettiest Painted Places in America” for this region by the Paint Quality Institute.
The metro is in competition with Aurora, Ill.; Bay View Association, Mich.; Evansville, Wis.; Galena, Ill.; Grinnell, Iowa; Lowry Hill East, Minn.; Richmond, Ind.; Saugatuck-Douglas, Mich.; and Stillwater, Minn.
Judges are looking for communities with “exceptional communitywide curb appeal” said Debbie Zimmer, paint and color expert for the Paint Quality Institute.
Zimmer said that while one may typically think of curb appeal as beautiful color schemes on homes or buildings, exquisite outdoor murals and creative use of paint colors on everything from statues, signage and traffic signals to water towers and streets make a city “pretty.”
The competition began this spring, and hundreds of cities were narrowed down to 60 finalists, 10 from each of six geographic regions. The 12 national winners will be named later this month.
Free credit score
Wells Fargo is offering a free credit score to customers.
Bank officials say it is a complimentary, no obligation credit score offered through support from the American Bankers Association’s annual Get Smart About Credit program.
The free report will be available by stopping into branch locations through Nov. 15.
The average Experian credit score in Fargo-Moorhead is 776, compared to 750 nationally, and the average nonmortgage debt load is $24,851, compared to the U.S. average of $24,890, according to a statement from Wells Fargo.
