The Courtyard by Marriott and Moorhead Area Conference Center has promoted Ashlyn Schneider to guest service lead.
Schneider joined the hotel in March as a guest service agent. She is a senior at Concordia College majoring in organizational communication and classical studies.
Nilles Law Firm names Western as shareholder
Mark R. Western has been named a shareholder at the Nilles Law Firm, Fargo.
Western’s practice focuses on civil litigation, insurance litigation, criminal litigation and bankruptcy law. He joined the firm in 2007.
Christianson’s hires commercial designer
Katelyn Schwartzenberger has joined Christianson’s Business Furniture in Fargo as a commercial interior designer.
She graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in interior design. Schwartzenberger previously worked at a residential design firm.
Northwestern Bank promotes McDonald
Northwestern Bank has promoted Todd McDonald to a credit analyst 1 position.
McDonald has been with the bank for more than three years and most recently held the position of loan specialist 1 in the Moorhead location.
Olson named HR director at Wallwork
Wallwork Inc., Fargo, has named Patty Olson as human re-source director.
Olson previously worked for Essentia Health in Fargo as HR manager and for Teachers Health Trust, Las Vegas, where she was HR director.
Convention and Visitors Bureau promotes two
The Fargo-Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau has promoted Emily Klamm to event services manager and Adrienne (Kenneweg) White to director of tourism sales and event services.
Klamm was previously an intern in event services, a part-time travel ambassador and most recently an administrative assistant. She graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management.
White has been with the FMCVB since 2010 and previously served as the event services manager. She is a graduate of the hospitality and tourism management program at NDSU.
Credit union hires senior business lender
Heather Hoerer has been hired as a senior business lender by Central Minnesota Credit Union, Moorhead.
Hoerer graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead and the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado.
She has more than 15 years of business banking experience.
General Equipment and Supplies hires four
General Equipment and Supplies, Fargo, has hired Gene Shypkowski as a parts runner, Brett Wagner as the Canadian sales assistant, Rudi Uys as wash bay attendant and Brent Fritz as a service technician.
Stern named fine arts director of development
The North Dakota State University Division of Fine Arts, in partnership with the NDSU Alumni Foundation, has named Sherri Stern director of development.
Stern is a graduate of NDSU and was employed in banking and finance for 17 years. She also owned Little Women, a local women’s clothing boutique.
Vogel Law Firm adds five new attorneys
Attorneys Vanessa L. Anderson, Stephanie Asheim, Eeva Greenley, Whitney Irish and Jacob Rodenbiker have joined the Vogel Law Firm.
Anderson will concentrate her practice in civil litigation. Originally from Jamestown, N.D., she graduated from Minot (N.D.) State University and from the University of North Dakota School of Law, Grand Forks.
Asheim concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial transactions, corporate law, business organization and mergers and acquisitions. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School and received an undergraduate degree in government, politics and American studies from George Mason University, Fairfax, Va. Before joining Vogel, she worked at law firms in Minneapolis, Detroit and Boston.
Greenley concentrates her practice on business and commercial litigation and creditor, debtor and collections. Before joining Vogel, she worked at Rodenburg Law Firm where she practiced creditors’ rights law. She graduated from Concordia College with bachelor degrees in English literature and Scandinavian studies and graduated from UND School of Law. She is a native of Thief River Falls, Minn.
Irish’s areas of concentration include estate planning and oil and gas. A native of Fargo, she received her undergraduate degree in business management from UND and graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
Rodenbiker is originally from Fargo and is a litigation associate with substantial trial and appellate experience. He also served as counsel to the North Dakota Insurance Department. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and attended Georgetown University while interning for one of North Dakota’s U.S. Senators. He received his law degree from the University of Minnesota School of Law.
Video Arts Studios hires Sailer as video editor
Ryan Sailer has joined Video Arts Studios, Fargo, as a video editor.
His ex-perience includes video production, computer graphics and computer technical support. He was previously employed at Prairie Public Television as an editor/videographer and is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Vanity’s corporate office makes three new hires
Vanity in Fargo has hired Brenda Lovgren as payroll coordinator, Tera Steer as marketing specialist and Kristine Halsne as an accounts payable clerk.
Lovgren previously worked in payroll at RDO Equipment Co.
Steer has many years of marketing, event planning/coordinating and graphic design experience from Mathison’s, Scheels and Tera’s Design. She graduated from Bemidji (Minn.) State University with a bachelor’s degree in technical illustration/
graphic design with an emphasis in exhibit design.
Halsne has many years of accounting experience and previously worked at Business Essentials and Valley Express. She graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College with an associate degree in sales, marketing and management.
DISTek Integration hires Chpak as test engineer
Peter Chpak has joined DISTek Integration as a test engineer in Fargo.
Chpak graduated from Novocher-kassk State Technical University in Russia with a master’s degree in electrical engineering.
Mullikin joins Park Co. as sales associate
Ryan Mullikin has joined Park Co. Realtors in Fargo as a residential real estate sales associate.
Mullikin is a graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College. He has worked with the Clay County Sheriff’s Department since 1995 and is a Clay County deputy reservist. He also serves on the Dilworth City Council.
Mehta hired as software design engineer
John Deere Electronic Solutions, Fargo, has hired Vikram Mehta as a software design engineer.
Mehta has a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Mumbai, India.
Absolute Marketing hires art director
Absolute Marketing Group, Moorhead, has hired Scott Raffath as art director.
Raffath has worked as a senior designer for advertising, architecture and computer software firms in the Fargo-Moorhead area for more than 15 years.
He most recently worked for five years as a senior designer with R.L. Engebretson, an interior design and architectural firm, and at Vtrenz, a computer software marketing solutions company. He also worked as a senior designer for H2M and Sundog.
Raffath, a native of Butte, Mont., earned a degree in commercial art at Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
Mizero named director of LSS New Americans
Laetitia Mizero has been named program director for Lutheran Social Services New Americans.
She has a bachelor’s degree in English education from the University of Burundi and a master’s degree in management from the University of Mary, Fargo.
Mizero has been employed by Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota since 1999, most recently as an interpreter and previously as a case manager for Lutheran Social Services New Americans. She arrived in North Dakota as a refugee in 1998.
Onsharp appoints new director of operations
Onsharp, Fargo, has named Karn Jilek as director of operations.
For the past 21 years, Jilek owned and managed the Jiffy Lube franchise in Fargo.
Prudential Premier names new sales agent
Jared Blankenship has joined Prudential Premier Real Estate, Fargo, as a member of the F-M home sales team.
He has four years of mortgage lending experience and more than 10 years of customer service experience. Blankenship has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Metropolitan State University.
Three new hires at Ironclad Marketing
Ironclad Marketing, Fargo, has hired Sarah Roberts as a graphic designer, Laura Stoneburner as a public relations writer and Lauren Stonehouse as media planner.
Roberts previously worked for four years as a graphic artist with Noridian Mutual Insurance Co., Fargo.
Stoneburner is a graduate of North Dakota State University, and she previously worked for five years as an advertising writer for Forum Communications, a writer and graphic designer for The Spectrum, NDSU’s newspaper, and communications coordinator for Lutheran Social Services, all in Fargo.
Stonehouse was previously a social marketing specialist for Vanity Corp., Fargo. She has also been a freelance production assistant in Minneapolis. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Corporate Technologies hires Weber, Dahl
Corporate Technologies, Fargo, has hired Anna Weber as a service sales executive and Jesse Dahl as a systems engineer.
Weber graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in exercise science. She has worked in the sales and customer service industry for the past five years.
Dahl, a native of Underwood, Minn., graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Wadena, with a degree in network technology administration and he also has a Cisco CCNA certification.
Butler Machinery hires four new associates
Butler Machinery, Fargo, has hired Adam Ward as a technology sales specialist, Jason Kraft as a machine inventory control manager, Natalie Noland as an invoicing specialist and Dan Freeman as a marketing data analyst.
Ward graduated from the North Dakota State college of Science, Wahpeton, with an associate degree in drafting/construction management. He previously worked as an equipment operator/foreman for Dakota Underground, Fargo.
Kraft earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and management from North Dakota State University. He previously worked for Swanson Health Products as purchasing manager, and for Case New Holland as a manufacturer engineer.
Noland earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She previously worked for State Bank and Trust, Moorhead, as a customer service representative, and most recently with McLaughlin Enterprises, Fargo, as an accounting specialist.
Freeman graduated from NDSU with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
TMI hires Mapel as construction accountant
TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Becky Mapel as construction accountant.
Mapel earned a degree in accounting from May-ville (N.D.) State University. Her previous work experience includes seven years as assistant controller at Aevenia, where she specialized in construction accounting.
