NDSU celebrating homecoming this weekFARGO – North Dakota State University is celebrating homecoming this week. Some of the scheduled events include:
- Wednesday: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., NDSU Libraries open house, several events and demonstrations are planned, food and giveaways available;
- Thursday: 11 a.m., state of the university address by President Dean Bresciani, Festival Concert Hall, Reineke Fine Arts Center, followed by Bison statue dedication on the corner of Albrecht Boulevard and 12th Avenue North; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., NDSU Libraries open house; 6 p.m., Development Foundation Recognition Society dinner, Holiday Inn, Fargo; 6 to 10 p.m., homecoming carnival, free and open to the public at Newman Outdoor Field with inflatable games, meet and greet with NDSU athletes, 32 Below live performance and fireworks;
- Friday: 11 a.m., Bison Athletic Hall of Fame luncheon, Holiday Inn; 6 p.m., homecoming party at Holiday Inn open to all alumni and friends, reunion groups at this event are the classes of 1990-99 with entertainment by Brat Pack Radio, photo opportunity with football championship trophy, cash bar, food available for purchase, no cover charge; 7 p.m., NDSU women’s volleyball vs. University of South Dakota, Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse; 7:30 p.m., Blue Key Homecoming Show and Coronation, Festival Concert Hall, Reineke Fine Arts Center; and
- Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to noon, Harry D. McGovern Alumni Center rededication and open house; 10 a.m., parade starting at North University Drive and 12th Avenue; 11 a.m., pep rally and lunch sponsored by Liberty Mutual, Bison Sports Arena, $9 for adults and $4 for children 10 and younger at the door, includes lunch, Games Galore, Gold Star Band, balloons, beads and Thundar; 1 p.m., football NDSU vs. Youngstown State at the Fargodome; 5 p.m., Bison Bidders Bowl, Holiday Inn, cash and gifts auctioned and raffled for the benefit of NDSU, advance reservations required; 7 p.m., NDSU women’s volleyball vs. Kansas City, Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
