Nash Finch promotes Nelson to vice president

Roger Nelson has been named vice president of business development/

retail sales for Nash Finch Co.

Nelson has been with Nash Finch for more than 36 years and has held various sales and business development positions.

He was director of sales for St. Cloud, Minn., and Fargo/Minot, N.D., before taking over responsibility for business development and sales efforts as senior director for all of Nash Finch Food Distribution in 1999.

Three new physicians join Essentia Health

Dr. Melanie Brumwell has joined the anesthesiology team and Dr. Julie Johnson has joined the orthopaedic surgery team as a foot and ankle specialist, both at Essentia Health, Fargo. Dr. Pankaj Timsina has joined the family medicine department at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Clinic, Detroit Lakes, Minn.

Brumwell earned a medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and completed a clinical anesthesiology residency through the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee.

Johnson earned a medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Reno, and completed an orthopaedic surgery residency through Michigan State University and Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners. She also completed a one-year foot and ankle fellowship at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Providence, R.I.

Timsina received a medical degree from Kathmandu University in Nepal and completed a family medicine residency at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis. As a primary care physician for the United Nations’ Primary Health Care Project, he previously provided health care to Bhutanese refugees.

Engineering firm hires Hoepfner, Isley, Hass

Applied Engineering, Fargo, has hired Theodore Hoepfner as a design engineer, and John Isley and Kevin Hass as application developers.

Hoepfner and Isley graduated from North Dakota State University, Hoepfner with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and Isley with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Hass graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Jeff Morris joins Northern Technologies

Jeff Morris has joined Northern Technologies Inc. as a senior engineer in the Fargo office.

Morris graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in civil engineering and is a registered professional engineer.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the geotechnical engineering design field, with the last five years as quality control manager for a petroleum refining facility in Romania.

Morris also worked for 15 years in the geotechnical engineering field for regional and national firms throughout the upper Midwest.

Dawson Insurance hires commercial assistant

Kelsey Stevens has joined Dawson Insurance, Fargo, as a commercial lines account assistant.

Stevens, a graduate of Northern State Uni-versity, Aberdeen, S.D., earned degrees in banking and financial services, finance and economics.

She previously worked as an administrative assistant at Investment Centers, Aberdeen.

Five new hires at Family Healthcare Center

Family Healthcare Center, Fargo, has hired Linda Smeby as a dental assistant, Dr. Clarissa Sparkman as a dentist, Deborah Mohagen as quality im-provement director and compliance officer, Katherine Orth as patient support services manager and Robyn Edenborg as a licensed practical nurse.

Smeby is a graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead.

Sparkman graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, Louisville.

Mohagen is a registered nurse and has 30 years of nursing experience. She is a graduate of North Dakota State University and the University of Mary.

Edenborg is a graduate of MSCTC and has six years of health care experience.

Lane joins SK Food International office

Melodie Lane has joined SK Food International, Fargo, in an office support position.

She graduated from Valley City (N.D.) State University and has extensive customer service experience.

Two workers promoted at Intelligent InSites

Intelligent InSites, Fargo, has promoted Shelly Schulz to manager of learning and development and Betty Gronneberg to senior software engineer.

Schulz has been with the company for three years and was most recently the education and training manager. She is a registered nurse and graduated from Jamestown (N.D.) College with a nursing degree.

Gronneberg has been with the company for three years. She has a master’s degree in software engineering from North Dakota State University and a bachelor’s degree in statistics from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia.

Oleg Vodyakho hired as a software engineer

John Deere Electronic Solutions, Fargo, has hired Oleg Vodyakho as a senior software engineer.

Vodyakho has a doctoral degree in engineering from the University of Hagen in Germany.

Associate attorneys join Ohnstad Twichell firm

Asa K. Burck, Andrew D. Cook, Sarah M. Nyhus-Wear and Lindsey J. Scheel have joined the Ohnstad Twichell Law Firm as associate attorneys.

Burck graduated from North Dakota State University and the University of North Dakota School of Law, Grand Forks. He will practice in the Hillsboro, N.D., office and will maintain a general practice but focus on estate planning, probate and municipal law.

Cook grew up in Fargo where he graduated from NDSU. He received a law degree from the UND School of Law and served as a law clerk for Judge Rodney S. Webb and for Judge Kermit E. Bye. He will work in the litigation department in the West Fargo office.

Nyhus-Wear graduated from NDSU and the UND School of Law. She previously lived in Sioux Falls, S.D., where she worked as a deputy state’s attorney. She will work in the West Fargo office and concentrate her practice in the areas of water law and municipal law.

Scheel is a native of Fergus Falls, Minn., and graduated from Northern State University, Aberdeen, S.D. and the UND School of Law. She clerked for Justice Carol Ronning Kapsner of the North Dakota Supreme Court. She will practice in the West Fargo office, where she will maintain a general practice and will also concentrate in the areas of real estate, probate, estate planning and corporate law.

Ulteig hires Kressin as recruiter in Fargo office

Ulteig has hired Nicole Kressin in its Fargo office as a recruiter for human resources.

Kressin graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in human development. She also earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from UND.

She was previously employed as a human relations counselor at Southeast Human Service Center, Fargo.

Chamber hires Stroh as marketing coordinator

Kaylyn Stroh has joined the staff of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber as publications and program marketing coordinator.

She is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in marketing and mass communications. Stroh has more than two years of experience in graphic design and marketing, and has lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area for five years.

Knight Printing adds Solem to sales team

Knight Printing, Fargo, has added Cory Solem to its print solutions sales team in the Grand Forks, East Grand Forks, Minn., Devils Lake, N.D., and surrounding regions.

Solem was previously with Gaffaney’s Office Solutions of Grand Forks and is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

US Med-Equip hires team leader, techs

US Med-Equip, a provider of moveable medical equipment leasing, sales and rentals, is expanding its Fargo branch and will become the company’s central hub for reconditioning services of patient monitoring equipment.

Carey Stoner has been hired as the team leader, and Wayne Howard and Jason Liedberg have been hired as biomed technicians.

Stoner previously worked for eight years at DMS Topline Medical as an inventory parts specialist. Howard previously worked for DMS Topline Medical, Narco Medical Services, Universal Hospital Service and St. Luke’s Hospitals, Fargo.

Liedberg previously worked for four years at DMS Topline Medical and has also served for 21 years with the Minnesota Army National Guard.

Fiebiger joins 7-Star Acupuncture in Fargo

Tanya Fiebiger has joined her sister, Tasha Boehland, at 7-Star Acupuncture and Reflexology, 1326 25th St. S., Fargo.

Fiebiger studied the Ingham Method of Reflexology for feet and hands through the International Institute of Reflexology, St. Petersburg, Fla.

She previously practiced chiropractic and was co-owner of Fiebiger Chiropractic Health Center in Fargo for 16 years.

DSG promotes Tupa to chief segment officer

Dakota Supply Group, Fargo, has promoted Mike Tupa to chief segment officer.

Tupa has worked for more than 35 years for DSG, where he has served on the outside sales team, was branch manager of DSG’s Fargo location and was DSG’s electrical segment manager.

DSG is a distributor of electrical, plumbing, HVAC/R, communications, utility, metering technology, automation and waterworks products.

The company has 22 locations throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Design build firm hires senior project manager

Jesse Helland has joined Wild/CRG in Fargo as a senior project manager.

The commercial design build firm specializes in financial and health care new construction and remodeling.

Helland is a native of Grand Forks and has a degree in architecture from North Dakota State University. He has more than seven years of experience in design build, working in Sioux Falls, S.D., and Fargo.

Holden becomes CVB marketing director

The Fargo-Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau has promoted Nicole (Moen) Holden to marketing director.

She graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in hospitality and tourism management and has been with the FMCVB since 2009.

Hoppe joins Alerus as relationship manager

Jessica Hoppe has joined Alerus Financial as a relationship manager at the south Fargo location.

Hoppe has more than 12 years of experience in the financial industry. Most recently she was a relationship manager with U.S. Bank. She earned a master’s degree in business at North Dakota State University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Fraser Child Care names infant room supervisor

Becky Slocomb has joined Fraser Child Care Center in Fargo as supervisor of the infant room.

Slocomb earned a bachelor’s degree in early elementary education from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

TMI Hospitality hires Jesse Liebe as analyst

Fargo-based TMI Hospitality has hired Jesse Liebe as financial analyst.

Liebe graduated from Wheaton (Ill.) College with degrees in business/economics and mathematics.

His previous work experience includes two years as an internal auditor at Otter Tail Corp.
