Classes to resume at damaged Watford City school

WATFORD CITY, N.D. — Classes are slated to resume next week at a rural school in western North Dakota that was damaged when a semitrailer ran into it in a deadly crash.

The Rev. Adrian Timmons tells the Bismarck Tribune that students at the Johnson Corners Christian Academy will attend classes in the part of the building that wasn't damaged in the Sept.17 crash.

Authorities say the semitrailer that crashed into the first collided with a car that failed to yield at the intersection. The driver of the car was killed. Three students, a teacher and the semi driver were treated for minor injuries.

Timmons says the crash damaged about half of the school building. The private religious school has 19 students.
