Two 19-year-olds arrested as police investigate reported sexual assaults of 2 teen girls at Fargo party

FARGO – Two men were arrested and more arrests are possible as Fargo police continue to investigate the reported sexual assault of two teenage girls at a south Fargo party, Lt. Joel Vettel said Monday.

Police were called at 2:48 a.m. Sunday to 1704 Gold Drive S. regarding what the caller said sounded like a female screaming for help, Vettel said.

Officers arrived and found a large party with more than 20 people in the front yard and hallway of the apartment building, Vettel said.

As officers tried to disperse the party, they found two girls under the age of 15 who said they had been sexually assaulted, Vettel said. The girls were taken to the hospital, he said.

Tremaine Quincy Jones, 19, of Fargo, was arrested on suspicion of gross sexual imposition, Vettel said.

Jermaine Quincy Jones, also 19 and from Fargo, was arrested for allegedly resisting arrest.

The two men are not twins, despite their similar names and ages, Vettel said.

All of the parties involved were acquainted, he said.

“The investigation is ongoing, and certainly there might be more arrests and more charges against those that have been arrested,” he said.

Alcohol was present at the party, he said.
