Judge to rule later on Senser's release
Amy Senser appeared in Hennepin County District Court Monday where Judge Daniel Mabley said he would rule later this week on whether to grant her release. Senser received a new hearing because the judge who initially denied her request did not explain his decision.
Following the hearing, Joe Senser condemned Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, accusing him of improperly prosecuting Senser's wife. The Star Tribune reports the former tight end apologized to the Vikings and asked the media to stop linking him to the football team.
Senser has been in custody since July when she was sentenced to 3 years and 5 months in prison for the hit-and-run death of Anousone Phanthavong in Minneapolis.
