Letter: Bad actions have consequencesThe lack of action by North Dakota State University athletic director Gene Taylor last week was a slap in the face. NDSU should feel bad about the previous events that took place with their football players.
I don’t have an ax to grind with NDSU or Taylor. I am not going to sit here and say I have done nothing wrong, but I learned that there were consequences to my actions. These young men have been cheated out of the lesson to learn from their mistakes (like the nonathletic students).
Taylor should feel bad about his lack of action. This is what he gets paid for, not to put the winning of the football team ahead of each player’s life lessons.
I take great pride in the success of the Bison, like a lot of people. I just think that NDSU owes these young men the ability to learn like the rest of us.
