Judge Bright honored for humanitarian work

FARGO – Federal Appeals Court Judge Myron Bright has been selected as this year’s recipient of Temple Beth El’s Robert Feder Humanitarian Award.

Bright has been a judge since President Lyndon Johnson appointed him in 1968. He was selected because of his lifelong advocacy of fairness, tolerance and equal rights.

A dinner will be held in Bright’s honor in December at the Holiday Inn, where he will receive his award.

Past award recipients include Farm Rescue founder Bill Gross; Matt and Bridget Cullen, directors of the Cullen Children’s Foundation; North Dakota Special Olympics founder Roger Kerns; and former Minnesota State University Moorhead president Roland Dille.
