Fargo Force cut a pair of players

FARGO – Zach Kraft, who helped Fargo North’s hockey team to a North Dakota state championship last year, has been cut by the Fargo Force junior hockey team.

Kraft, a forward, and defenseman Charles Hemstrom of Romeo, Mich., were two of the cuts announced Tuesday following last weekend’s exhibition game and intrasquad scrimmage.

The Force will play in the USHL Fall Classic in Sioux City, Iowa, Thursday through Friday. After the tournament, Force coaches will reduce the team roster from 29 to 23 players.

The Force open the USHL regular season Sept. 28 with a home game against Sioux City.
