Pa. prep teams to re-enact game from 1983 Cruise-led movie 'All The Right Moves'

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — Two western Pennsylvania high school football teams that portrayed rivals in the 1983 Tom Cruise Movie “All The Right Moves” will play in replica uniforms when they re-enact the movie's climactic game.

Johnstown players will wear the black-and-gold uniforms of Ampipe, Cruise's team when portraying a young man hoping to escape a grim mill town. Johnstown's rival, Westmont Hilltop, will wear the red-and-white uniforms of Walnut Heights. Like Walnut Heights was to Ampipe, Westmont is the more affluent rival to Johnstown.

Johnstown coach Tony Penna Jr. says Friday game will be at Johnstown's Trojan Stadium, about 60 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Penna tells the Tribune-Democrat of Johnstown (http://bit.ly/OJybVM ), “A lot of these kids are trying to not necessarily find a way out of Johnstown, but they're trying to find a way into college football.”
