Moorhead police seek driver from pursuitMOORHEAD – Police here are looking for the driver of a passenger car who led an officer on a brief pursuit Monday night before abandoning the car.
The pursuit started at about 10 p.m. when the driver refused to stop for the officer near Fifth Avenue and Highway 75 North.
It ended moments later at 17th Street and First Avenue North when the officer lost sight of the car, according to Sgt. Rob Matheson.
The car was found unoccupied a short time later.
Matheson said police believe they have a lead on the driver’s identity, but they weren’t ready to release it this morning. He said there’s no cause for concern about public safety.
