Judge Bright to receive humanitarian awardFARGO – Federal Appeals Court Judge Myron Bright has been selected as this year’s recipient of Temple Beth El’s Robert Feder Humanitarian Award.
Bright has been a judge since he was appointed by President Lyndon Johnson in 1968. He has also been a teacher at law schools at the University of North Dakota, the University of Minnesota, St. Louis University, and the University of Hawaii.
Bright was selected based on his lifelong advocacy of fairness, tolerance and equal rights. Bright will receive his award at a dinner to be held in his honor in December at the Fargo Holiday Inn.
