Casselton man, Climax man killed in separate crashesFARGO – Two area men were killed in separate weekend crashes.
Jeremy A. Rader, a 40-year-old man from Casselton, N.D., is dead after his westbound vehicle entered the median on Interstate 94 two miles west of West Fargo on Saturday night around 11 p.m.
The vehicle traveled into the median and vaulted when it reached a drainage ditch. The vehicle struck the west concrete embankment of the drainage ditch, where it came to rest.
A witness and first responders removed Rader from the vehicle to perform first aid. He died of his injuries at the scene. The vehicle caught fire and burned after he was removed.
At about 11:40 p.m. Saturday, 26-year-old Alexander C. Knutson of Climax, Minn., was killed after he lost control of his vehicle nine miles east of Buxton, N.D.
His vehicle was westbound on Traill County Road 21 when he lost control and entered a ditch. The vehicle rolled and he was ejected. He was found by a passing motorist. Knutson died at the scene from his injuries.
Both crashes remain under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
