No arrests in sobriety checkpoint near DunseithDEVILS LAKE, N.D. – No arrests were made for driving under the influence of alcohol at a checkpoint conducted from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday by the North Dakota Highway Patrol and the Rolette County Sheriff’s Department.
The sobriety checkpoint was administered south of Dunseith on Highway 3 at the junction of U.S. Highway 281.
A total of 56 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Three drivers had been consuming alcohol and were evaluated for further possible impairment.
Following the checkpoint, NDHP troopers and Rolette County deputies patrolled the Rolette County area and arrested two drivers for impaired driving.
