Caught urinating in public, 3 men allegedly beat up, rob victim in Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS - Three men were arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly assaulting a person on the 200 block of North Third Street in Grand Forks.

According to police, Jason Gore, 27, of Seminole, Fla.; Alexander Forrest, 26, of Bear, Del. and James Costello, 35 of Greencastle, Pa., were urinating in a parking lot when they were confronted by the victim at around 2 a.m. The three men assaulted the victim, stole the victim’s cell phone and fled the area in their vehicle.

The police located the suspects in their vehicle at the McDonald’s restaurant on Gateway Drive in Grand Forks a short time after.

Costello and Forrest were charged with robbery, a class B felony. Gore was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, a class B felony, and driving under revocation, a class B misdemeanor. All three were taken to the Grand Forks County Correctional Center.

The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention.
