Trade Talk: Groundbreaking set for Frazee clinic

Community members are invited to attend a groundbreaking ceremony starting at 1 p.m. Wednesday for the Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Frazee Clinic at 300 Main Ave. E.

The clinic is expected to open early next year.

It will replace an existing clinic at 114 W. Main St.

Dr. Paul Hendrickson, a longtime family medicine physician in Frazee, will continue to staff the clinic.

Hendrickson and the clinic’s team of nurses and staff will be joined in October by nurse practitioner Karin Halvorson.

Essentia Health is investing about $900,000 to construct, furnish and equip the new facility.

“Building a new facility solidifies our commitment to the Frazee community to provide high quality and accessible primary care,” said Peter Jacobson, who oversees the Essentia Health-St. Mary’s clinics.
