Benefit fund set for Fargo family who lost home in Sunday fireFARGO – A benefit fund has been set up for a Fargo family who lost their home to a fire Saturday night.
The Garcia family’s mobile home at 3506 Casino St. N. was engulfed in flames with strong winds pushing those flames onto the adjacent home when firefighters responded around 11:40 p.m., said Assistant Chief LeRoy Skarloken.
The home was a complete loss, and Stephen and Bobbi Jo Garcia’s 17-year-old daughter, Samantha, was taken by F-M Ambulance to be treated for smoke inhalation at Sanford Medical Center. As of Sunday, she was expected to make a full recovery.
The cause of the fire, which started in the kitchen/living room area, is under investigation.
Those who want to donate to the benefit fund for the Garcias can do so at any Gate City Bank.
