Army Brigade to hold Walk of Hope on SundayFARGO – A suicide prevention run is planned at Camp Phoenix in Afghanistan on Sunday in conjunction with the Walk of Hope planned here.
According to a news release provided by FirstLink, 1st Lt. Michelle Meadors, a suicide prevention task force manager for the Army brigade in Kabul, has coordinated a shadow run that will kick off at 6 a.m. Sunday at Camp Phoenix.
Both events are being held in recognition of Suicide Awareness and Prevention Week and are meant to remember those who have been lost to suicide as well as show support for prevention efforts.
Registration for the Walk of Hope here will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the downtown Fargo Public Library courtyard, followed by the walk at 2 p.m.
