Downtown Fargo bus station closedFARGO – A downtown bus station here was closed early Tuesday night due to an incident that resulted in extensive damage to the dispatch area.
Cleanup and repair was under way at the General Transportation Center at 502 NP Ave. However, the transportation hub may not open today at 6 a.m., its regularly scheduled time.
The nature of the incident that caused the damage was not released in a news release from the city announcing the closure.
Instead, the release refers inquiries to the Fargo Police Department.
A message left for the Fargo police shift supervisor was not returned Tuesday night.
MATBUS routes will not be affected and all buses will run on schedule, according to the release.
Riders who plan on visiting the GTC this morning are encouraged to call (701) 232-7500 in advance to ensure it is open. A rider alert will be sent notifying riders when the GTC reopens.
