Victim identified in deadly Harvey rolloverHAMBERG, N.D. – The victim of a deadly rollover near Harvey was identified Monday as 34-year-old Jason Thomas, of Harvey, the North Dakota Highway Patrol reports.
The accident occurred Sunday in Wells County, where Thomas was driving a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix northbound on State Highway 30, going from a farmstead to his home in Harvey, when the car drifted off the road at about 6:50 a.m., the patrol stated in a news release.
Thomas overcorrected and lost control of the car. It entered the ditch, hit an approach and vaulted, ejecting Thomas and coming to rest on its hood, the release stated.
Thomas was taken by ambulance to St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey, where he was pronounced dead.
The crash, which happened about five miles south of Hamberg, remains under investigation.
