Rusch strikesout 13 batters as RedHawks fall to Goldeyes

WINNIPEG, Man. – Matt Rusch tied a Winnipeg record by striking out six in a row as Goldeyes defeated the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 5-1 on Saturday in American Association baseball.

Rusch had 13 strikeouts and allowed just one run on four hits in seven innings.

Eric Campbell homered for the RedHawks.

The victory secured a wild-card spot for Winnipeg in the American Association playoffs.
