Cory Holen has joined Preference Personnel’s professional career placement team in Fargo as a recruiter.
Holen, originally from McClusky, N.D., graduated from Jamestown (N.D.) College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He has more than nine years of business, leadership and customer service experience.

Appareo Systems in Fargo has promoted David Batcheller to president and chief operating officer.
He has held the chief operating officer role for Appareo the past two years.

Kelly Hubrig has been hired as vice president/business and ag banking officer at State Bank & Trust in Wahpeton, N.D.
Hubrig, a native of Hankinson, N.D., earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has been in the banking field for nine years. He was most recently the branch manager at Bank of the West, Lidgerwood, N.D.
VISIONBank promotes Ashmore, hires Gandrud
VISIONBank, Fargo, has promoted Mehgan Ashmore to client service specialist, and Rachel Gandrud has joined the bank as a client service representative/teller.
Ashmore has been with VISIONBank for a year and is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Gandrud is a graduate of Concordia College.
Kyle Olmstead hired as program director
Kyle Olmstead has been hired as program director at the Boys & Girls Club of the Red River Valley/Youth Commission.
Originally from Fargo, he graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He also has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from North Dakota State University and a master’s degree in school counseling from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
Bethany Retirement Living promotes Stark
Sarah Stark has been promoted to MDS coordinator at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo.
She will be responsible for completion of assessments and care planning for residents.
Originally from Cavalier, N.D., Stark is attending North Dakota State University, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She has worked at Bethany since 2008 as a certified nursing assistant and as a licensed practical nurse.
She most recently served as a charge nurse on Cedar Square.
Essentia Health hires new ophthalmologist
Dr. Nataliya Danylkova has joined the ophthalmology department at Essentia Health’s South University Clinic in Fargo.
She will provide patients with eye care and also surgical services, including cataract, astigmatism and presbyopia-correcting implants. She also has a special interest in cosmetic and functional eyelid plastic surgery and refractive surgery.
Danylkova earned a medical degree and completed an ophthalmology residency at Ternopil State Medical University in Ukraine.
She also completed a residency in ophthalmology at Northwestern University, Chicago, and received surgical training in eye microsurgery from the Kiev Medical Academy in Ukraine and Grewal Eye Institute in India.
Cernik hired, Pelzman transfers to warrants
Sharon Cernik has joined the Cass County Sheriff‘s Office in Fargo as a senior secretary and Trisha Pelzman has transferred to the warrants division.
Cernik was previously employed by Sanford Health and Essentia as a medical secretary.
Pelzman has been employed as an administrative assistant at the sheriff’s office since 2010.
Record Keepers names customer specialist
Amanda Halvorson has joined Record Keepers as a customer support specialist for the Bismarck and Fargo records storage and
document destruction operations.
Halvorson, a native of Bismarck, has 11 years of customer service experience.
Cindy Senff promoted at Western State Bank
Cindy Senff has been promoted to vice president/senior compliance officer at Western State Bank, West Fargo. She will also continue to oversee the compliance department and serve as bank secrecy act officer.
Senff, originally from Wahpeton, N.D., earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary, Fargo. She has been with Western State Bank since 2006.

Cermak graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science with an associate degree in architectural drafting and estimating. She previously worked for Harmon Inc., as a drafter and for Great River Energy as an engineering technician.
Murphy earned a paralegal bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She previously worked as a paralegal for the Tax Law Office in Fargo and the Office of Corporation Counsel in Indianapolis.

Jen Sondag has joined Odney’s Fargo office as a marketing consultant.
She has a variety of work experience ranging from marketing, public relations and social media to owning a business and teaching at the college level.
Most recently she was an account manager and public relations specialist at a Fargo advertising agency.
Sondag has a master’s degree in speech communication from North Dakota State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul.
CoreLink names Slaby CFO, general manager
Jeff Slaby has been named chief financial officer and general manager of CoreLink Administrative Solutions, Fargo.
He replaces Steve Grandfield who has served as CoreLink’s temporary chief executive officer in addition to his permanent role as Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska’s chief operations officer and executive vice president.
Grandfield will remain in his role with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska.
Slaby previously served as CoreLink’s vice president of finance and human resources. He joined CoreLink in 2010 and has more than 15 years of leadership experience, including roles as corporate controller for Border States Electric and operations manager for Cargill’s North American Financial Services Center.
He has a master’s degree in finance and a bachelor’s degree in zoology from North Dakota State University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Discovery Benefits promotes one, hires five
Discovery Benefits in Fargo has promoted Troy Bagne to vice president of sales. The company has also hired Renae Geis, Nancy Tetteh, Ashley Walker, Diana Zarate and Amanda Lane as participant services specialists.
Bagne is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and joined Discovery Benefits in 2006 as regional sales director.
Two promoted at American Crystal Sugar
American Crystal Sugar Co. has named Cory Kritzberger director of agriculture and Alan Zola has been promoted to factory manager at the facility in Drayton, N.D.
Kritzberger has more than 16 years of experience with American Crystal in various agricultural roles. He will work out of the corporate headquarters in Moorhead.
Zola has been with the company in various operational positions for over 10 years and has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Cornerstone Bank hires Bjornson as teller
Brock Bjornson has joined Cornerstone Bank in Fargo as a teller.
He has more than three years of cash handling and customer service experience. Bjornson is pursuing a degree in finance and ag business at North Dakota State University.
Lakeland adds two to adult services team
Lakeland Mental Health Center, Moorhead, has added Allison Floberg and Jenny Thompson to its adult services team.
Floberg received a bachelor’s degree from Concordia College. Her previous behavioral health experience included working as a mental health practitioner at Gull Harbour in Moorhead and as a home visitor for Standing Rock Head Start, Fort Yates, N.D.
Thompson earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She previously worked at Youthworks in Fargo and as a professional caregiver at CCRI in Moorhead.
