Namedroppers (September 02, 2012)AND THE WINNER IS: The following Riding on Angels Wings participants excelled in the 2012 Minn. Special Olympics. Riders and their awards were as follows: Jada Simonson, gold and bronze; Miranda Martine, gold; Ravin Mayi, gold; Kristofer Sando, silver; Jayleen Johnson, bronze and sixth place win; Roxie Price, bronze; Sumura Rooks, sixth place; Zach Hegg, seventh place; Isaac Kuether, sixth place; and Amber Holmen, fourth place. Riders are coached by Bette Shipley, Courtney Johnson and Ashley Montgomery. Riding on Angels Wings is a nonprofit organization that offers equine-assisted activities and therapies to children with special needs.
MAKING THE GRADE: Martin Johnson, Jamestown, N.D., was named to the summer semester president’s list at North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS: Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment has awarded $1,000 scholarships to the following children of full-time employees: Abby Immer, Fargo; Alexandra Mills, Oakes, N.D.; Ashley Berg, Moorhead; Austin Fiechtner, Wyndmere, N.D.; Courtney Murphy, Gwinner, N.D.; Haley Christofferson, Jacob Aberle, James Fornes, Lisbon, N.D.; Jasmine Larson, Milnor, N.D.; Kelby Jacobson, Kindred, N.D.; Miranda Hulm, Wyndmere, N.D.; Paige Collins, Fargo; Rachel Antrim, Fergus Falls, Minn.; and Trina Krumm, Oakes, N.D.
RECENT GRADUATES: Marshall Johnson, Fargo, and Mark Simpson, New York Mills, Minn., recently graduated from the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
COLLEGE BOUND: Sarah Longtine, daughter of Jeff and Debra Longtine, Moorhead, has enrolled at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
