Charges possible after Fargo brawl involving firearm, toolsFARGO – Police say charges are possible in connection with an overnight brawl that involved as many as five men in a motel parking lot, one of whom reportedly had a gun.
Dispatchers received at least two calls at around 2:30 a.m. today about the fight in the Motel 6 parking lot at 1202 36th St. S., Sgt. Tom Shaw said.
The fight had ended by the time officers arrived, and some of the men had left the scene, but police were able to stop them and talk to everyone believed to have been involved, Shaw said.
One of the men reportedly had a long gun, and others wielded construction tools during the fight, Shaw said.
F-M Ambulance took one of the men to Essentia Health with unknown injuries. The others had minor injuries, Shaw said.
No arrests were made. Police will forward their reports to the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges.
Police were given conflicting stories about what led to the fight, but alcohol was a factor, he said.
