Letter: Cramer silent about Berg’s rantKVLY host Chris Berg compared U.S. House candidate Pam Gulleson to Hitler in a segment about Social Security. He now says that he wasn’t comparing her to this despicable individual, but it’s clear that he was blatantly making a comparison between Gulleson’s position on saving Social Security and Hitler’s “big lies.”
We all know that this behavior is unacceptable. I thought we were better than that in North Dakota. And Gulleson’s opponent, Kevin Cramer, has remained silent. Does he think it’s fine for a fellow Republican to compare his opponent to Hitler? That’s the only conclusion to draw from his silence.
As for Gulleson, she has taken the high road, accepted Berg’s apology and said that she wanted to move on to talk about the real issue: making sure that Social Security is around for future generations and fighting efforts to privatize it. That’s the kind of leader we need in Washington.
