Authorities release name of woman injured in accident near Park RiverPARK RIVER, N.D. - Authorities Tuesday identified a Park River woman injured in an accident Sunday night near Park River.
Jessica Gordon, 20, of Park River, N.D., was injured when a vehicle driven by Michael Schildberger, 21, of Pisek, N.D., struck the back end of a tractor driven by Edmund Gaarder, 54, of Park River.
Gordon was a passenger in Schildberger’s 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix, and was airlifted to Essentia Hospital in Fargo. A spokesperson with the hospital said she was not listed as a patient on Tuesday afternoon.
Gaarder was taken by ambulance to First Care Hospital in Park River. Schildberger was not injured in the crash. Gordon’s name was not released by officials until Tuesday.
The collision occurred on N.D. Highway 32 around 11:20 p.m. Authorities say Schildberger was northbound when he failed to see Gaarder’s tractor traveling in front of him as there was limited lighting on the back of the tractor. Schildberger was not able to brake and drove his vehicle into the back of the tractor.
