Man airlifted after I-29 rollover, arrested for DUIHARWOOD, N.D. – The driver of a vehicle involved in an early morning Interstate 29 rollover crash near here Friday has been arrested under the suspicion of driving under the influence and driving under revocation, according to a North Dakota Highway Patrol release.
Oscar Joseph Wilkie, 46, of an unknown address, was airlifted to Sanford Hospital after his 2005 GMC Sierra rolled into the median, and he was ejected from the vehicle, the release said.
The patrol reports that Wilkie entered the I-29 median near milepost 75 at around 3:15 a.m., overcorrected, and rolled. Wilkie was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries, the release said. He remains hospitalized.
The patrol reports that there was one passenger in the vehicle at the time. Bonita Lavallie, 29, of Moorhead, was transferred by ambulance to Essentia Hospital. She sustained minor injuries, but is facing possible drug charges, the patrol said.
