Former Hebron teacher found not guilty of sexually assaulting studentsMANDAN, N.D. – A jury has found a former female teacher in the southwest North Dakota town of Hebron not guilty of sexually assaulting two students.
A jury of seven men and five women deliberated for about two hours on Wednesday at the Morton County Courthouse before finding Jennifer Schultz not guilty of the charges. She was found guilty of distributing alcohol to minors.
The state dropped a charge of soliciting a minor.
Judge Thomas Schneider sentenced Schultz to one year in jail with all but 60 days suspended and ordered her to pay $500 in court fees. Schultz resigned her teaching position during the investigation.
