Broken water main leaves town of Milnor without waterMILNOR, N.D. – Residents here will be without water today for the second time in a month after another water main break, according to a WDAY News report.
The town of 700 that sits about 40 miles west of Wahpeton will be without their clinic, veterinary office and schools as water will be completely shut down today, WDAY reports. Officials hope to have water back in service by midafternoon today.
This comes just weeks after another leak was fixed south of Highway 13. The main was built in 1991, and Milnor Public Works Director Dwain Elenberger told WDAY that engineers will be brought in to determine if the main will need replacing.
The last time this occurred, water was shut off for 15 hours.
