Big Brothers Big Sisters seeks helpFARGO – With a new school year about to start, Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Village Family Service Center is looking for donors and volunteers.
According to a press release from The Village, Big Brothers Big Sisters’ 2011 Youth Outcomes Report shows statistically significant improvements for youth during their first year of enrollment in the program in areas such as educational success and socio-economic competency.
“The Big Brothers Big Sisters Youth Outcomes Survey is an important tool in our commitment to hold ourselves accountable to the children, families and mentors we serve as well as the donors who support our programs,” program director Susan Smith said in the release.
Big Brothers Big Sisters provides children facing adversity, often those of single or low-income households or families where a parent is incarcerated or serving in the military, with one-on-one mentoring relationships.
