Coach: Bobby Bauer (second year)

2011 record: 2-6

Players to watch: Jordan Funfar, Sr., WR/LB; Hunter Gossett, Sr., OL/DL; Coulton Dangerfield, Jr., RB/LB.

Coach’s comments: “For us, the biggest thing is having that year under our belt and the kids having knowledge of the offensive, defensive and special teams schemes we have been running,” Bauer said. “I definitely feel like we are miles ahead at this point in the season compared to where we were at this point last season.”

Coach’s comments: “We are gonna be a pretty quick football team and we are pretty athletic,” Sandy said. “We have a lot of good, young kids, but our juniors and seniors are excellent ball players. Our kids can’t wait to get back on the field.”

Coach’s comments: “We are looking to get in that .500 range again,” Smith said. “Our strength will be at our skill positions … we are young at the line this year.”

Coach’s comments: “I think our underclassmen and skill players are pretty decent and our size is pretty good,” Kapaun said. “Our first goal is always to make the playoffs and we ended up in the semifinals last year. This year we look to push for the region championship.”

Coach’s comments: “Our biggest improvement will be on our line,” Bradner said. “We have 10 starters on defense and nine on offense … we got a lot of experience. We are looking for steady improvement and consistency with our line play. I think we are going to be much improved from a year ago.”

Coach’s comments: “Overall, we only have three seniors on the team this year, so we will have a lot of juniors and sophomores on the field,” Olson said. “We have some experience, but our younger players will need to get some game experience. … Our skill position players are our team’s overall strength. Our team speed will be good this year.”

Players to watch: Craig Kyllo, Sr., OL/DL; Chance Olsby, Sr., C/DE; Taylor Kyllo, Jr., QB; Maverick Symington, Sr., RB.

Coach’s comments: “Taylor Kyllo was named an all-region quarterback as a sophomore after throwing for 900 yards and 11 touchdowns,” Nordick said. “We are looking for good things from him again this fall. … Taylor and Maverick (Symington) are the show for us on offense and will be the guys we are going to go to this year.”

Players to watch: Trent Ptacek Sr., QB/LB; Ricardo Gamon, Sr., OL/DL; Dalton Magill, Sr., RB/LB; Cole Ehrlin, Jr., WR/DB; Stephen Quandt, Jr., TE/DE.

Coach’s comments: “Everything is looking good right now,” Dobitz said. “Our biggest strength is that we have a lot of players who can run, throw and catch the ball. … I feel comfortable with our skill positions and we have been working on developing some depth on the offensive and defensive lines. Defensively, we’re going to be a quick team. In the past, we have been good at creating turnovers and negative plays. I look for us to do more of that again this year.”
