Fargo's Giant Panda restaurant robbed at gunpoint, bandits get away

FARGO – A Chinese restaurant here was robbed at gunpoint Friday night by two young, dark-skinned males, police said.

Two males entered Giant Panda, 1331 Gateway Drive, around 9:33 p.m. Friday, said Fargo Police Sgt. Kevin Volrath.

The men displayed a gun, and the employees gave them an undisclosed amount of money before the two left the restaurant.

Volrath said it happened quickly. Patrons were in the restaurant at the time and a number of them

didn’t know a robbery occurred.

The suspects are described as young males with darker skin, between 5-feet-6-inches and 5-feet-8-inches in height, with dark clothing.

The police department is still looking to develop leads and suspects.
