Woman, two teens from Waubun, MN, injured in Becker County crash

CALLAWAY, Minn. – A woman and two teens from Waubun suffered non-life-threatening injuries north of here this morning when an Ogema man’s truck pulled out in front of their car.

Driver Kelley Lerud, 48, and her two passengers, Natalie Lerud, 15, and Macey Lauinger, 16, collided with 29-year-old Christopher Breitenfeldt’s 2003 Chevy Silverado pickup at the intersection of Highway 59 and Country Road 14, according to the Minnesota Highway Patrol.

Breitenfeldt was driving westbound on County Road 14 when he pulled out in front of Lerud’s southbound 1995 Nissan Altima at Highway 59, the State Patrol reported.

Breitenfeldt was not injured.

The State Patrol, Becker County Sheriff’s Office and White Earth Police Department, along with fire and rescue, assisted at the scene.
