Benefit dinner for orphans WednesdayFARGO – Supporters of the Patrick and Martha Smith Welfare Center in Liberia are serving a dinner at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. John Lutheran Church.
The center cares for orphaned children who fled the civil war in Liberia and escaped to the Ivory Coast, a release said.
The public is invited to the event. There will be a free will offering, and proceeds will equip the children for school.
The church is located near Lindenwood Park.
