Quality Life relocates, hires nurse specialist

Quality Life has relocated from downtown Fargo to 1316 23rd St. S., Fargo, and Rebecca Elbert has joined the business as a clinical nurse specialist in adult mental health.

Quality Life is owned by Linda Jo Volness, a clinical nurse specialist in psychiatry.

Elbert has 25 years of nursing experience and for the past seven years worked as an advance practice nurse with Sanford Health in adult behavioral health.

She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Mary, Bismarck, and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

Elbert, a native of Tower City, N.D., is a retired major with 21 years of active duty and reserve service with the Army Nurse Corps.

Cornerstone hires Axtman as senior VP

Deneen Axtman has joined Cornerstone Bank in Fargo as senior vice president of retail banking.

Axtman has 24 years of banking experience, including 15 years in retail banking and also in business/ag banking.

Fredrikson & Byron expands Fargo office

Fredrikson & Byron has expanded its Fargo office with a premier estate planning, business succession and probate group. Attorneys in this group are: officers William L. Guy III and F. John Williams III; associates Amy L. Jenson and Jessica L. Foss; five paralegals and four secretaries.

Guy graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and served for five years in the U.S. Navy as a supply corps officer. He graduated from the UND School of Law and has since practiced in Fargo-Moorhead.

Williams graduated from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, with a degree in accounting and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul. He is a certified public accountant (inactive) and worked in the tax department at Deloitte & Touche in Minneapolis before practicing law.

Jenson graduated from the University of Minnesota and from Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul.

Foss graduated from Northern State University, Aberdeen, S.D., with a bachelor’s degree in professional accountancy and she graduated from the UND School of Law. Prior to practicing law as an estate planning attorney, Foss, also a licensed CPA, worked at Deloitte in Minneapolis.

Essentia Health hires five new physicians

Essentia Health St. Mary’s, Detroit Lakes, Minn., has hired Dr. Soma Ghosh to the primary care team in pediatrics and Dr. Tuhin Banerjee to the team in hospitalist services.

Essentia Health 32nd Avenue Clinic in Fargo has named Dr. Richard Coursey Jr. to the team in interventional radiology, Dr. Morteza Azimian has joined the rheumatology team at Essentia Health South University Drive Clinic, Fargo, and Dr. Michael Hill has been hired to lead the new endovascular neurosurgery team.

Ghosh received a medical degree from the Calcutta National Medical College in India and completed a residency in pediatrics at the New York Medical College-Metropolitan Hospital.

Banerjee received a medical degree from the University College of Medical Sciences in India and completed an internal medicine residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Coursey received a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina and a residency in transitional medicine at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Azimian earned a medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. He completed an internal medicine residency at St. Joseph Hospital, Chicago, as well as a two-year clinical rheumatology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville.

Hill is the only endovascular neurosurgeon in North Dakota and the surrounding areas of Minnesota, Montana and South Dakota and will provide minimally invasive treatment to patients with blood vessel disorders of the head and neck. He earned a medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a neurological surgery residency at North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System in Manhasset, N.Y. He also completed a two-year cerebrovascular and endovascular fellowship at Hartford Hospital Stroke Center through the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Hartford.

Fargo firms hire Devier as accountant

Gehrtz Construction Services and Zerr Berg Architects, both of Fargo, have hired Leith Devier as a construction accountant.

Devier earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Wolf, Honzay promoted at Zerr Berg Architects

Tony Wolf and Mark Honzay have been promoted to associate architects at Zerr Berg Architects, Fargo.

Both are graduates of North Dakota State University. Wolf has worked for the firm since 2006 and Honzay has been with the firm since 2007.

Shae promoted to VP at Union State Bank

Kory Shae has been promoted to vice president of Union State Bank, Fargo.

Shae has been with Union State since 2008, working as a business banker.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead, is a graduate of the Dakota School of Banking and is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at North Dakota State University.

DSG names Dan Miller chief operations officer

Dakota Supply Group, Fargo, has named Dan Miller chief operations officer.

Miller has worked for DSG since 2009 as branch manager of the St. Paul location. He previously worked for seven years as chief executive officer of Shelter Supply, which was acquired by DSG in 2009.

Miller also worked for over 15 years in leadership roles at Honeywell.

Holland, Bosse hired at Aevenia in Moorhead

Aevenia Inc., Moorhead, has hired Sam Holland as human resources manager and Tyson Bosse as IT administrator.

Holland has a bachelor’s degree in business management with an emphasis in human resources. She has more than 25 years of experience in the human resource field and previously worked as a human resource manager for several Fortune 500 companies.

Bosse studied management information systems at North Dakota State University and has five years of IT-related work experience. He previously was the IT coordinator for Minnewaukan (N.D.) School and also worked for Titan Machinery and Bobcat.

Matthew Rau joins Thrivent office in Fargo

Matthew Rau, Fargo, has joined Thrivent Financial for Lutherans as a financial representative. His office is at 3303 Fiechtner Drive, Fargo.

He previously worked for the Fargo Moorhead RedHawks, Hope Lutheran Church and the Cleveland Indians organization in North Carolina.

Rau attended North Dakota State University and graduated from Ashford University, Clinton, Iowa, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Xcel Energy promotes Sylliaasen to manager

Xcel Energy has named Brad Sylliaasen manager of design, construction and maintenance for the Xcel Energy service areas of Fargo-Moorhead, Grand Forks and Minot, N.D.

Sylliaasen has worked in various capacities for the company since 1989, most recently as director of design performance and strategy.

Eide Bailly promotes four to senior manager

Eide Bailly, a regional certified public accounting and business advisory firm, has promoted Corey Enger, Amber Ferrie, Jim Ramstad and Chris Schroeder to the senior manager level in the Fargo office.

Enger has been with the firm since 2005. He has a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

Ferrie has been with the firm since 2005. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Ramstad has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has been with Eide Bailly since 2005.

Schroeder has been with the firm since 2006 and has a bachelor’s degree in animal and range science from North Dakota State University and an accounting certificate from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.

TNT Kid’s Fitness hires two, promotes one

TNT Kid’s Fitness, Fargo, has hired Ryan Williams as manager of the SOAR Afterschool Program and Amanda Reed as manager of special events and the No Bummer Summer program. Adam Jore has been promoted to special needs and fitness manager.

Williams is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education.

Reed is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education (teacher/

coach), and a minor in elementary education.

Jore has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with minors in strength and conditioning and coaching. He has been with TNT since 2009.

Stevens hired in TMI communications dept.

TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Hillary Stevens as a corporate communications specialist.

Stevens is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a minor in hospitality and tourism management.

Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson hires three in Fargo

Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson has hired Dan Watkins, Kaitie Kluver and Jim Pulst in the Fargo office.

Watkins is an engineer in the transportation group. He earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Minnesota State University Moorhead and he has one year of related work experience.

Kluver is an administrative assistant in the administrative group. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Concordia College.

Pulst is a computer-aided drafting and design technician for the survey group. He has earned an associate degree in CADD drafting from University of North Dakota, Lake Region, and has 26 years of related work experience.

Centre promotes Maluk to assistant manager

Elijah Maluk has been promoted to assistant program manager at Centre Inc., Fargo.

He has been with Centre Inc. for more than three years and was previously a detox technician II at the detox location.

Maluk has taken some general studies courses and plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

Lester Buildings names area sales manager

Chris Hubrig has been named sales manager for the northwestern Minnesota lakes area of Lester Buildings, which designs and manufactures wood post-frame buildings for the agricultural, equestrian, suburban-hobby and commercial building markets.

He previously represented Lester Buildings in Virginia and he has a degree in architectural drafting and estimating technologies from the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton.

Pedigree Technologies hires new employees

Pedigree Technologies, Fargo, has hired Daniel Damico as account manager, John Heller as sales engineer, Becky Lukach as training specialist, Bryce Heustis as hardware technician and Justin Williams as technical support specialist.

Damico has over seven years of experience in the technology and IT industries. He is a graduate of Concordia College and also serves as the contemporary worship leader at Peace Lutheran Church, Fargo.

Heller previously worked at Bobcat as a product specialist. He is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in mechanical engineering.

Lukach has more than five years of experience in product and professional training.

Heustis is pursuing a finance degree at NDSU.

Williams previously worked as a platinum technician for Restaurant Technology Services. He received an associate’s degree in information technology from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead.


Ott promoted to assistant VP

Troy Ott has been promoted to assistant vice president at First International Bank and Trust, West Fargo.

Ott graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a degree in business management and he has four years of banking experience.
